    Kansas Regents

  • Best fit for many CNA, CMA, LPN, and ADN/RN seekers because it covers eligible two-year degrees and certificate programs, not bachelor’s degrees. It is a “last-dollar” program and comes with a Kansas work-and-residency commitment after graduation.

    Kansas Promise Scholarship

  • Helpful for employees entering eligible technical certificate or AAS programs. The published KBOR guide lists awards up to $1,000 per year depending on hours enrolled.

    Kansas Career Technical Workforce Grant

  • This is one of the strongest options for LPN and RN students. It is specifically designed to encourage enrollment in Kansas LPN or RN programs, and recipients agree to practice nursing in Kansas for one year for each year of funding. Sponsored students can receive additional support through a qualifying employer/sponsor.

    Kansas Nursing Service Scholarship

  • A very practical option for employees looking for short-term CNA/CMA training or other approved healthcare programs. KANSASWORKS lists approved training providers and shows certain programs as WIOA approved, which can open the door to workforce-funded training help.

    KansasWorks

  • For CNA and CMA, this is one of the best operational resources in Kansas. KDADS maintains training-provider information and statewide course listings by city and date for CNA, CNA refresher, CMA, CMA update, and related aide training.

LPN/RN

For LPN/RN licensing, the top statewide funding options are usually Kansas Promise Act, the Career Technical Workforce Grant, and for some students the Kansas Nursing Service Scholarship if they are entering a qualifying practical nursing program and can meet the service obligation. KSBN’s current approved-program list shows practical nursing programs across Kansas, which makes it easier to match employees to a nearby option.
